Stem cells are powerful healing cells in your body that can become other types of cells. There are many adult stem cells in fat tissue, however they are asleep. MediVet's stem cell therapy allows your vet to isolate stem cells from an animal's own fat tissue, wake them up, and reinject them directly into damaged areas. For example, in the case of arthritis, stem cells become new cartilage cells, thus reducing pain and increasing mobility.

Stem cells treat the source of the problem by becoming new tissue to replace damaged tissue. Other treatments, such as NSAIDs, merely attempt to reduce symptoms. The treatment is very low risk, because it uses the animal's own stem cells. With MediVet's technology, over 95% of animals treated show improvement.

Dr M and the staff are minutes away from the animal hospital. If you are an existing client please refer to your invoice or the refrigerator magnet that was handed to you (the number is in red). The number can also be found on the bottom of your invoice.

Dr. Miliaresis always has your pets best interest in mind. There may be times when she is unable to respond to your call. If you call for an emergency and do not get an answer, please follow the instructions on the voice mail message.

We offer a full range of excellent animal care with specialized diagnostic and life-saving skills. We also provide consultations with board certified specialists.

Pet parent to Ipo (American and Pit Bull Terrier mix, Willy and Bubbles). Dr. Cristina Miliaresis traces her roots to Italy and Greece. She grew up in Naples, Italy and spent many of her summers on the Ionian island of Kefalonia , Greece.
